Support CFI

Lend Us a Hand

CFl is the only Chicago area not for profit organization that provides direct financial support to individuals and families affected by cystic fibrosis. We can't do this without your help... so lend us a hand. We receive donations of all sizes and are grateful for all of them.  Many small donations taken together are just as important as a large contribution.

If you can lend us a hand such as a donation of just $10, CFl can continue to do what it does best in our local community. When you give to CFI, your donation will not be bundled into the budget of a large national organization.  All money donated stays locally to benefit our local CF community through the various programs we offer.

Help us fulfill CFI's mission and benefit as many people affected and impacted by CF.

“Of Wine & Roses" Fundraiser

CFI also hosts special events to get the word out about all that we do for individuals and families affected by cystic fibrosis and to raise the financial resources to accomplish this. CFI recently hosted "Of Wine & Roses," a wine tasting experience fundraiser at Maestro Seafood & Grill in Northbrook. Over 100 attendees were able to sample an interesting collect ion of wines from around the world and also feast on Grande Hors D'oeuvres.

The program featured a live auction on a variety of items including vacation travel, sporting event tickets, entertainment passes, spa treatments, and fine wine. A silent auction followed that included gift baskets, jewelry, a wine rack, and gift certificates. Funds received from "Of Wine and Roses" are used to aid individuals and families affected by cystic fibrosis throughout the Greater Chicagoland area.

Stay tuned for details on our upcoming 2015 wine tasting!

Family and Community Support

There are many ways that families and community groups have creatively been able to support CFI:

  • During the spring of 2012 several families held a combined bake sale and garage sale with proceeds benefiting CFI.
  • In 2012, the W.J. Murphy School held a Family Fun Day with all proceeds donated to CFI.
  • A person affected by CF raised funds for CFI as a runner in the OneAmerica 500 Mini Marathon in 2012.
  • During May 2012, members of the National Honor Society of Lakeview Tech Academy planned a spaghetti dinner and donated proceeds to CFI.
  • In June 2014, two children organized a Zumbathon at Lutz Center in Highland Park.  Participants exercised to dance music and raised funds to support CFI.

Soccer Support

Glenbrook South H.S. Helps "Kick CF''

In 2013, the Glenbrook South High School soccer team and coach Paul Agombar held their third annual "Kick CF" fundraiser. The team and its supporters chose CFI as their cause to make a difference in their own local community. The event featured raffles, t-shirt sales, and a half-time presentation. The event raised $2,500 to support programs and research at CFI.

Other local soccer teams have supported the mission of CFI through their volunteer efforts at the annual CF family appreciation picnic.
